ABOUT ME
WHY DO PEOPLE SEEK OUT PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPIES?
Perhaps you feel swamped with worry, and you avoid doing things you need or want to do. Maybe you are feeling frustrated by habits that are not working for you and that you have not been able to change. You may have noticed that you don’t enjoy things the way you used to or that you just feel generally stuck in life.

Working with a psychologist can help you to understand why you are feeling the way you do and help identify solutions so you can improve the quality of your life.

I am an experienced Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) based in Hertfordshire, UK.

My aim is to help you understand the issues that have brought you to therapy. In particular, I will help you to understand how the problem developed, to understand the maintaining factors which keep it going, and to identify and work on ways of moving forward that align with your values and goals. As a Clinical Psychologist I use evidence-based therapies to help you to develop new skills and techniques which will help you move towards your goals, and which are tailored to your particular needs.

I currently work in NHS practice and with private clients. I have over 15 years’ experience working in in-patient and out-patient mental health settings and have worked with children, young people and their families, as well as adults in different stages of life.

I am able to offer therapy to children, adolescents and adults and currently have availability for virtual and in-person appointments. My clinic is located in Ware, Hertfordshire.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
Central to any successful therapy is the therapeutic relationship, that is the relationship between the person attending therapy and the therapist. To this end I work collaboratively, which means that we work as a team to help you achieve your goals. To ensure that you can feel confident you are receiving a high-quality, professional, and ethical service my approach to my clinical practice is transparent and open.
I have experience in working with a wide range of psychological issues. My approach is integrative and I draw on various therapy models including on cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, systemic therapy and mindfulness approaches to tailor the therapy to your particular needs and goals.
I have professional indemnity insurance and have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. I am also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Click here to read more about what this means for you.
